Always wanted to give Latin dancing a try but never known where to start? Keen to learn a new skill in the new year? Want a fun, relaxed way to meet people and discover a new hobby? Ambassador Bar is offering the perfect way to have a little taste of what Latin dancing is all about. In this casual class, you'll be introduced to 4 different styles in the Latin genre (Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Salsa and Jive), in bite-size, 15 minute intervals. Feel like taking a break?Jive not for you? Latin dancing is also a spectator sport! Feel free to sit by and indulge in our cheeseboards, exquisite cocktail menu or one of the many local beers or wines Ambassador Bar has to offer while enjoying the dancing display, and jump back in when you're ready. Eager to get started but need a bit of liquid courage? Ask our bar staff about the introductory Ballroom & Bubbles package! FAQ: Q: What time does the class start? A: 6:30pm Q: Do I have to do every dance? A: No! If you've already mastered the Salsa, for example, feel free to sit that one out and jump in once you've finished your drink! Q: I've been to this taster class a few times now, I'm ready for something more! A: The Regent Ballroom upstairs has beginner & intermediate classes on Fridays at 7:15pm that go into more detail. It's the perfect way to continue your dancing journey! Check out www.theregentballroom.com.au Q: What do I wear? A: Smart casual is fine - you can leave the tails suit and ball gowns at home! (Although if you're interested in a beautiful ball-style dancing night, check out The Regent Ballroom for their mid-year event). Our recommendation is that you wear closed-in shoes - we're all beginners here so protect those toes! Q: When can I practice what I've learnt? A: At 8:30, after the Latin Taster class, there's a free practice & social! The social is free for anyone to come to, so if you've done the class a few times and just want to come and dance, you're welcome! If you want more, The Regent Ballroom upstairs has a social night on the 3rd Friday of every month. Q: Who is my teacher? A: This class is taught by Riley White, who is a professional ballroom & latin dancer and studio Principal, accredited with DanceSport Australia as both a coach & adjudicator. Q: Is this class really just $5? A: Yes! We want to share the love of ballroom & Latin dancing with as many people as possible, so come along, bring your friends and let's have a great time in the beautiful Ambassador Bar!
