EXPERIENCE THE LIVELY MUSIC OF COLONIAL WESTERN AUSTRALIA with Perth Celtic band Amárach, featuring Music Masters graduate and illustrious local singer/guitarist John Ralph (https://johnralph.bandcamp.com/)
This fascinating setlist spans over a century of WA history, from George Fletcher’s Western Australia for Me, sung at the first ever Governor’s House ball in 1831, to Dorothy Hewett’s Clancy & Dooley and Don McLeod, chronicling the 1946 Pilbarra strike that sparked the Aboriginal Land Rights Movement.
And for those who enjoy dancing more than singing, we'll get your toes tapping with tunes like the Australian Waters Jig, named for it's association with Australian Irish convict fiddler Jimmy Lyons, and the - aptly named - Scottish strathsprey Miss Drummond of Perth.
See you there!
